And thus Olivia conquers her fear of heights!!!

Via a 10 hour lighting strike. Gahhh. Left my dorm at 10 in the morning, got back at 8. IT WAS SO DARK, but I'd never know, I'm not a creature of natural light, muahahahaha.

nevermind the HORRENDOUS angle.

Remind me to tell you about the lighting catwalk at my high school sometime. XD I'm not afraid of heights, but of falling. I did not walk away all better after that, no sir.

Strike is always fun, though, if rather bitersweet. Then again, I'm an actor, so strike actually means The End. I'm sure for the techies it's a little different: I'm sure it feels a bit like The Beginning for the techies - they get to repurpose all of this awesome stuff and get to start planning work on the Next Thing.

TL;DR - Strikes are awesome and I'm glad it looks like you're enjoying yourself. :-D

Oh GOD, our catwalk is 75 feet up. Carrying a giant follow spot backwards over a gap which I could easily slip through.....egh...

I miss the stage. I'm in the Acting program, and have my first audition on Wednesday for Angels in America, because I wasn't allowed to audition for anything Fall Quarter. But it was mostly graduate shows anyway.

Yeah, even in Lab here, strike is kind of a weird goodbye. But I got to see the show we put up there (with the badass lightning effect, whaaaaaat? :D), so we were all ready to see it go. We start lighting ANOTHER show today. Oh god. Fiberglass splinters galore!!!!!
